"If you don't eat the peas and the carrots"… "An apple a day"…good nutrition (eating habits) will make you healthier and will extend your life! There is a balance in life. Those of us that fear the "SCALE", we need not! Eat healthy and exercise; that's it! Oh, yeah no smoking, and no excessive drinking would help. Walking and running are the "best" exercise you can do for a balanced life. You don't need to pressure yourself with how many miles; just do the time… 20 minutes, an hour, as soon as the clothes fit better and you feel better you'll want to do more and more, but remember... the key is balance. Cross training a day or two with light weights or bicycling or swimming is enjoyable. Cross training helps in a longer life and marathon training.
